Kenesos, Priest of Thassa

From Jumpstart 2022 comes another cycle of legendary creatures with hybrid colour activated abilities. For Simic they have Kenesos, Priest of Thassa, a 1/3 Merfolk Cleric for 2 who let’s you scry one deeper. Really powerful right? Oh, and he also let’s you cheat in Kraken, Leviathan, Octopus, or Serpent creatures off the top of your deck.

Without flooding the deck or relying on Kenesos the deck strategy is to stabilize and stall. If you get the chance to manipulate the top of the deck and activate Kenesos you should be in a pretty good position. It’s quite satisfying to hit something good off the top naturally but not everyone has that kind of luck. A tenth of the deck can be brought in with his ability so pretty decent odds.
